Digging Out

After another day of sledding and shoveling for Adam, we are dug out (driveway and  half the road). Adam made an epic pile - the biggest in the neighborhood. Boyd had some sadness on the slopes cracking his orange sled. Crocodile tears people. A new one has been ordered and in the meantime we are thankful for our tube and the generosity of friends. Still no plow through our section.

Blizzard 2016 the first 8 hours

Can you tell it's a blizzard here?

Boyd is a shoveling machine. I had to make him come in because he was unsatisfied with the results since his work would be covered every two minutes.

7 year old playing it cool. The slot car track was a favorite birthday present and he couldn't stop saying how much he liked his new hat.

Gingerbread house decorating in camp

Cheers to a Merry Christmas and Happy New Yeara

The game Boyd wants to pitch to Gamewright (don't go stealing his idea now)

Hoopster! Santa did a good job with this surprise present. It has provided lots of fun times since Christmas and some interesting shots and games.

Cozy little bookworm. We read so many books over Christmas break it was wonderful. Boyd gets at least 18 pages of legit homework per week so unfortunately I felt like we hadn't been reading as much. We made up for it over break (on top of the 15 page packet of homework and a project over break)- his teacher sure is keeping him on the ball.

Boyd snuck in our bed to sleep and I looked over to find this. The next morning I showed him the picture and he said he was hiding from dad. Hiding and scarring or sneaking up on people has been a new interest.

This piece of schoolwork came home last week from Halloween. I just love it. Especially the part about reaching his goal of going to the other part of the neighborhood.
